    Frequently asked questions

    Is the Kanso table easy to maintain on a daily basis?
    Yes, and that is one of the great strengths of MORTEX® for a dining table. The top is protected by several layers of solvent-based varnish that form an effective barrier against common stains: wine, oil, water... No need to panic if a glass tips over, you do not have to act immediately. Once the varnish is completely dry, the surface also offers very good scratch resistance. For everyday care, a simple soft cloth is all you need. It is a material designed to be lived with, not handled with kid gloves.
    Can you place hot dishes directly on the Kanso table?
    MORTEX® itself handles heat very well. However, the protective varnish that preserves your table over the years is more sensitive to direct and intense heat. We therefore advise against placing a pan straight from the stove or a dish straight from the oven directly on the top without a trivet. A simple habit, and one you would adopt with most quality tables. For everything else, the Kanso handles the daily demands of a real dining table without flinching.
    How many people can the Kanso table seat, and can it be ordered in other sizes?
    The model shown measures 250 x 90 cm with a height of 75 cm: a configuration that comfortably seats 8 to 10 people. But the Kanso is made to measure in our Belgian workshop in Steenokkerzeel, which means you choose the dimensions that match your space and needs exactly. Both in length and width, the possibilities are very broad. Our advice: allow 60 to 70 cm per guest, and plan for at least 90 cm of circulation space around the table. The standard height is 75 cm, but it can be adjusted, including for use as a bar table (90 cm). Contact us to discuss.
    What is the difference between MORTEX®, polished concrete and microcement?
    MORTEX® is a polished concrete, that is to say a microcement, but above all it is a reference brand in this field, the one that started the trend. Not all polished concretes are equal: MORTEX® stands out for its versatility, durability and very extensive customisation options (more than 80 colours in the Beal range). It is a demanding material to work with, which is why the craftsmanship and expertise of the applicator make all the difference. Our tables are entirely designed and crafted in our Belgian workshop, from start to finish.

    For our customers in France and elsewhere, if your region does not appear in our delivery options, we invite you to contact us directly so that we can offer you a tailor-made solution.

    You will receive a unique item, made in our workshop. Our return policy and right of withdrawal differ from the standard policy for this reason.

Designed in our Belgian workshop in Steenokkerzeel, it is born from artisanal work with MORTEX®, a polished concrete that needs no extra effort to assert its presence.     With us, every Kanso table is made to measure: dimensions, a shade chosen from more than 80 colours in the Beal palette, a base adapted to your space. The result is a piece that is as much furniture as it is an architectural gesture, restrained in form, dense in material.

    Do you deliver outside Belgium?

    Yes, we deliver throughout Europe, including France, Luxembourg, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.

    More distant destinations such as the United States, Canada, or Dubai are also possible, without any particular difficulty. Simply contact us to arrange a customized delivery.

    What are the manufacturing and delivery times?

    Each table is handcrafted to order. Please allow an average of 4 to 6 weeks for production, followed by secure delivery within 5 business days via private carrier.

    Can I return my order?

    Our made-to-order models (dimensions, colors, personalized finishes) are neither exchangeable nor refundable.

    Only models in stock, without customization, can be returned according to our conditions.

    How do I maintain my table on a daily basis?

    A simple soft cloth and a little warm water are all you need for daily maintenance. Our premium finishes effectively protect against everyday stains (wine, oil, coffee, etc.).

    To preserve the original appearance over the long term, we recommend the use of placemats, trivets or suitable protections in the event of more intensive use (fondue, raclette, etc.).

    Do you offer payment in installments?

    Yes, depending on your country and the options offered by our service providers, payment options are available: deferred (30 days) or in several installments without fees via Alma, Klarna or Paypal, directly from your basket.
